I have a client with a trashed Duo Jet from the 60's. The binding has come off the neck and body. Anyone make something similar, or do I have to laminate up a bunch of stuff?

I have never seen a source for Gretsch specific binding. On the few that I have re-bound, I just make up my own. My MacRostie Binding Trimmer makes that job easier.

Yeah..... I had to do that back in the early 80's on a mid-40's Synchromatic. I think I used StewMac…. Took forever, but it looked good. This would be easier...

Anyone else?

I have an old Gretsch hollow body on my bench now with rotted binding (acetate?). My plan is to route it off and replace it with new (PVC?) binding. I've done it before where I was able to save the purfling lines which were OK and just replace the binding. Big problem of course is that the old finish has aged to that lovely amber and I'll have to deal with that. I plan to just buy the correct sizes from StewMac.
